Northampton, MA — How does marketing an organic product differ from any other? According to the 400+ marketers who participated in an in-depth survey conducted by Pure Branding, there are challenges unique to the organic and natural products industry. Firstly, the value of “organic” is misunderstood. Secondly, marketers are frustrated at the lack of standards around “natural” and seeing confusion between the terms. Lastly, organic is increasingly commoditized, resulting in consumers buying on price.

What are marketers doing to cut through this confusion and establish a value proposition? Based on the survey, Pure Branding identified the top 10 most (and least) effective marketing tactics, specifically what marketers are budgeting, and how their greatest marketing challenges are being surmounted.
